Opening Prompt

Tell me what you learned about God this week?
Let me share with you what I learned about God this week…

Focus: Worship means loving God with everyday choices.

• Tell: Tell your kids about a time you made a choice that honored God. It may have been being kind, telling the truth, or helping someone… even when it was hard.
• Share: Share how choosing God’s way helped you feel close to Him or made you thankful for His help.
• Ask: What’s one way you can show God you love Him this week?

Read this Scripture with your family:
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind…”
Romans 12:1–2

Talk about this devotional thought:
Paul teaches that worship isn’t just singing at church; it’s saying, “God, my whole life belongs to You.”
Kids can understand this by thinking about simple choices:

• When we share instead of arguing.
• When we listen instead of complaining.
• When we pray instead of worrying.
• When we choose kindness even when it’s tough.

These are all ways we worship God. As we spend time with Him, He helps change the way we think so we can make choices that make Him happy. Worship happens at church, but it also happens at home, at school, and everywhere your family goes.
Questions to Ask 

• What is one thing you did today that you think made God happy?
• What’s a choice that might be hard, but would honor God?
• How does God help us make good choices?
• What’s one place this week where you want to remember to worship God (at school, home, sports, etc.)?

(Tip for parents: Let kids answer freely. There’s no rush to correct everything. The goal is conversation, not perfection.)

Prayer
Each day this week, pray this short prayer together:
“God, help us make choices that show we love You. Change our hearts and minds so we can worship You in everything we do.”
