Our Upstate Sports ministry is one of the many ways we seek to fulfill the purpose and vision of First Baptist Simpsonville | Upstate Church. There are several sports and recreation opportunities for you and your family.

BASKETBALL

STUDENTS BASKETBALL CAMP

Join us for an exciting and challenging week of basketball designed for students in rising 6th–12th grade! This camp focuses on developing fundamental skills while also emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and life principles that extend beyond the game.

Who: Rising 6th–12th graders (as of August 2026)
Dates: Monday–Thursday, July 27–30, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM daily
Location: Simpsonville Campus Gym (Family Life Center, 306 E. College St.)
Included: Lunch provided each day
What to Expect:
Skill development and drills
Competitive gameplay and team activities
Character and leadership development
Cost: $70 per camper

GRADE SCHOOL BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Upstate Sports Grade School Basketball League is designed for kids in K5–5th grade to learn fundamental basketball skills while also building character and life skills through sports in a fun, encouraging environment.

League Information

Location: Simpsonville Family Life Center & Mauldin Gym
Season Dates: August 24 – November 7, 2026
Cost: $75

Important Dates

Evaluations: August 24, 25, & 29
Practices Begin: Week of September 21
First Game: Saturday, October 3
Weekday Games: October 26, 27, & 29 and November 2, 3, & 5
Last Game: November 7

Registration

Registration opens July 6 and closes August 29.

SOCCER

Upstate Sports Soccer League

Our Soccer League is designed for kids in K5–5th grade to learn fundamental soccer skills while also building character and life skills.

Locations: Upstate Church Mauldin Fields
Season Dates: March 23 – May 13
Cost: $75
Evaluations:
March 2 | 6pm-7pm
March 3 | 6pm-7pm
March 7 | 9am-10:30am
Evaluations will take place at the Family Life Center at our Simpsonville Campus
Registration has closed.

CLUBS AND RECREATIONAL EVENTS

Basketball and Soccer leagues, Volleyball clinics, Trail Life, American Heritage Girls, Basketball Camps, Seasonal sporting events like Skeet Shoot occur throughout the year and several recreational clubs and events are hosted by First Baptist Simpsonville/Upstate Church.

TRAIL LIFE

Boys in K5-12th grade are invited to be part of Trail Life, a Christian Outdoor Adventure, Character and Leadership program that centers on outdoor experiences that build a young man’s skills and allow him to grow on a personal level and as a leader and a role model for his peers. Trail Life meets Thursdays at 6:30pm!

AMERICAN HERITAGE GIRLS

The AHG Program is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country.

Trail Life and American Heritage Girls meet Thursdays at 6:15pm!
