Pastor Brad Atkins had been the Senior Pastor of Lake Bowen Baptist Church in Inman, SC since 2017. He and his wife Hayley have a daughter, Annie Laurie (26), and a son, Will (23). Brad’s passion is to see those that are lost to be saved through an encounter with Christ & to see Christians being sent out as Christ Followers.
My life in ministry has now spanned over 30 years. In that time, I’ve served in youth ministry and as a senior pastor. I’ve also had the opportunity to do missions around the world. I have served on committees on the associational, state, and national level of the Southern Baptist Convention and as president of the Georgia Baptist Convention (08-09). After several years of full time evangelism, God gave me the incredible opportunity to also serve as campus pastor for Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia. He then surprised me again by putting me back in pastoral ministry as well. BKM has continued to adjust and thrive throughout these changes.
Wayne and his wife, Amy, have been married for 28 years. They spent the first 18 years serving small to medium-sized churches, both rural and suburban, in Georgia and Louisiana. Then in 2015, God brought the Brays to First Baptist Simpsonville. First Baptist Simpsonville / Upstate Church now has 7,700 members who gather in 20 distinct worship services in 9 different locations across the Upstate of South Carolina.
Dr. Bray has authored several books, including Inside Out: Christian Hope in a World of Contradiction – Rainer Publishing (2019). In addition to serving as Lead Pastor at FBS/UC, Wayne enjoys teaching as Adjunct Faculty at Anderson University and New Orleans Seminary. He has also served in various denominational roles, including President of the South Carolina Baptist Convention and President of the Preaching Conference of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board.
Mike is married to Tabitha, and they have three daughters (Abigail, Violet, and Georgia) and a son (Josiah). Mike was born in Bogota, Colombia as a missionary kid, and he has a heart for preaching the Word of God, loving people, and connecting people to Jesus. In addition, Mike loves to play basketball, watch football, drink coffee, wake surf, and meet new people.
As the son of a pastor, Cory’s life has centered around the local church. His passion is preaching God’s Word and helping others fulfill their calling. Cory grew up in a small town in Alabama and came to faith in Christ at age nine. While attending church camp as a teenager, Cory surrendered to a call to ministry and met his wife. Cory and Wendy have been married since 2002, and have three children Cade, Emma and Addi. Cory holds a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
