Heartstrings is a community group of First Baptist Simpsonville. It is a faith-based encouragement group for mothers who have experienced the death of a child. It does not matter the age of the child nor the time since the child has passed away. Our vision is to grow in God’s grace as we travel this journey of healing together.
Our theme for 2023-2024 is A Woman of Timeless Faith.
Meeting times are the 3rd Wednesday evening of August through May except March (which will be held on the 2nd Wednesday) at 7:00 in The Delta.
305 East College Street 29681

We want women who are new to FBS|UC to feel welcomed and be able to personally connect with at least one other woman at our church. The Women’s Welcome ministry meets that need by having designated women reach out to each new woman to help her get connected. Additionally, a quarterly Women’s Welcome social is hosted specifically for new women to engage and fellowship in a casual setting.
For more information on being involved in welcoming women, contact Janey Jordan (760-803-1804).
FBS|UC is ONE church across multiple campuses, so it’s important to provide women an opportunity to come together as one body. Women’s fellowship events are planned each year for this purpose, including one large event in the spring, such as a retreat or on-campus speaker-led event. Other events may include game nights, craft events, etc.
For more information on getting involved with fellowship events, contact Sherri Jones (864-414-0405).
D-Groups are facilitator-led closed groups of 4-6 women who gather for discipleship each week for 12 months. These groups are focused on spiritual growth through reading through the Bible, journaling, prayer, scripture memory, and journeying together through the 12-month process. The Bible is the textbook.
For more information on getting involved with Discipleship Groups, contact Kathy Robinson (864-399-0363) or Sherri Jones (864-414-0405).
Serving the body of believers and being the hands and feet of Jesus in serving our communities is our responsibility as children of God. There are various opportunities to get involved: Servant Hands is one of several crafting groups who use their skills to provide for those in need.
For more information, contact Michele Christon (864-757-8242) or Brenda Thompson (803-727-6035).
Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) is our denominational missions organization. For more information, go to FBSimpsonville.org/WMU/ or contact Kathy Murphy (864-630-2191).
